The shell uses Rossignol's Dual Core construction, where softer polyurethane is sandwiched between harder layers, giving you a flex that builds gradually rather than going stiff all at once. Entry and lower-foot closure run through a single BOA dial on the instep, which lets you dial in tension across the foot with one hand; two micro-adjustable cuff buckles handle the upper. The liner is thermoformable — heat it at the shop, step in, and it shapes to your foot's actual volume — and it's built with Thinsulate Stretch insulation and a sheep-wool construction that keeps warmth where feet lose it first.
