There's a touch of early rise in the tip to ease the entry into a turn, but the effective edge is long and the camber underfoot is genuine — this ski wants to be on a rail, not skidding the tails around. The carbon layup damps chatter without the heft of metal, and the flex has a liveliness to it that gives clear feedback: get your weight forward and onto your outside ski and it rewards you immediately. Within carving, it's also one of the more approachable options out there: DPS and Ligety built it to flatter a developing carver rather than punish one, so an honest intermediate who's working on edge-to-edge turns can grow into it rather than get bucked off it. What it is not is a do-everything ski. Take it into bumps, off-piste, or a powder day and you'll fight it the whole way — at 79mm with a firm-snow design, it simply isn't built for that.
