Smith Method MIPS Helmet

The Smith Method Mips is a light all-mountain ski helmet built around zonal Koroyd coverage, Mips rotational protection, and a no-fuss self-adjusting fit — Smith’s value lid for skiers who want protection without paying for adjustable hardware.

Its in-mold shell fuses the outer shell to the EPS liner in one piece, which is why it comes in at a light 400g. Eight fixed vents feed Smith’s AirEvac channel to keep a Smith goggle from fogging, and the fit system flexes to your head shape, so there is nothing to dial in. The Snapfit SL2 ear pads come out and take an audio chip, a removable goggle strap lock tidies the back of the shell, and it stays beanie compatible for cold mornings.

This is the helmet for a park or all-mountain skier who wants light Koroyd-and-Mips protection and a simple fit. If you want a dial and vents you can open and close through the day, the Smith Vantage 2 steps up to a BOA 360 dial and adjustable venting.
