The Full Action toe gives you 45mm of lateral elastic travel and a true 180° multi-directional release — in plain terms, the toe wing stays in contact with your boot longer before it decides to let go, which means fewer frustrating pre-releases on rough snow while still releasing when you actually need it to. The SPX heel adds 27mm of vertical elastic travel through an oversized pivot, so it's absorbing the short, sharp shocks — moguls, hardpack chatter, a bad edge catch — and keeping your boot seated rather than bouncing it loose. DIN range is 3.5 to 11, which covers lighter adults and aggressive juniors who generate real edge pressure but don't need the higher retention ceiling of a 13 or 15 DIN binding. Boot compatibility is dual-standard: traditional Alpine ISO 5355 and GripWalk ISO 23223 soles both click right in. Brake widths come in two versions — B90 (for skis with roughly 80–90mm waists) and B100 (90–100mm waists) — so match the brake to your ski's waist, not your boot size.

This binding is a good fit for an intermediate-to-advanced skier in the 130–185 lb range who wants more elastic travel and retention than an entry NX offers without paying for a Pivot. It's also the right call for lighter advanced skiers whose DIN setting falls in the 5–9 range and who want a binding that won't pre-release underfoot. Who should look elsewhere: if you're a heavier or more aggressive skier whose shop-calculated DIN setting lands at 11 or above, you're at the top of this binding's range and the SPX 13 GW (DIN 4–13) is the more appropriate choice — running a binding at its maximum DIN setting leaves no headroom. Likewise, if your ski has a waist wider than 100mm, neither brake width fits safely and you'll need a wider-braked option. This is also not a touring or walk-mode binding — it takes Alpine and GripWalk soles only, not MNC or AT soles, so it won't work with tech-insert or touring boots.
