Stockli Laser CX Skis 2026/2027

The Stöckli Laser CX is a Swiss piste carving ski at 72 mm underfoot — the easy-going member of the Laser range, a slalom-shaped groomer ski that swaps a racer's workload for quick, tidy turns. It is fully redesigned for 26/27: the waist grows 3 mm, the sizes shift to a 150-174 range, and the flex is retuned.

Its low-effort feel is engineered in. The core is Piste Core Light poplar and beech, and over it runs a wave-cut sheet of Titanal that Stöckli brands Turtle Shell 2.0 — forgiving when you ski gently, stiffer once you lean on it. An ACL forebody and a lengthened tail rocker give clean entry and exit, and an SME Light steel edge stays wide and re-grindable while shedding grams. Race hardware is absent — carbon, a racing sidewall and Full Edge Contact all live on the SC, SL and WRT. No weight and no laminate count are published, so none appear here.

No one has skied this generation on record — the CX reviews out there describe the 69 mm ski it supersedes — so treat the picture as Stöckli's, not a tester's: a nimble, forgiving groomer carver, steadier and more adaptable than before by the maker's telling. Skip it for deep or off-trail days, where 72 mm gives up float; skip it if you want race damping and hard-snow grip, which is the Laser SC's brief; and skip it for big, fast, open turns, which belong to the wider Laser SX. After pure slalom on a race chassis? That is the Laser SL.
