Swix F4 Glidewax 180g
The F4 is Swix's go-to universal glide wax — fluoro-free, iron-on, and built to work in all snow conditions without the need to pick a temperature range. You iron it in at 130°C, scrape the excess, brush it out, and you're done. Works on alpine skis and snowboards. The 180g bar covers a full season of regular waxing without running out mid-December, which is why most recreational skiers reach for this size over the smaller rub-on options.
Who should skip it: if you're racing or need a specific hardness for cold dry snow versus wet spring slush, you'll want a temp-specific wax from a dedicated race line. The F4 is a universal compromise — very good across the board, not optimized for the extremes. Also, if you're looking for a no-iron option for a quick tune at the hill, Swix makes rub-on and paste versions of the F4 that don't require a waxing iron.
