About the Product

The Alltrack 70 W is Rossignol's dedicated beginner-to-intermediate women's all-mountain boot, built around a 102 mm last and a flex index of 70 — a genuinely soft shell that bends with you instead of asking you to bend it. The overlap shell uses four micro-buckles to cinch down progressively, and the releasable rear cuff makes getting in and out easy: pull the lever and the boot opens wide, which matters at the end of a long day. That same rear cuff unlocks Rossignol's Optimized Hike Mode, giving roughly 50 degrees of cuff travel so short walks from the gondola to the lodge — or a quick boot-pack — are far more comfortable than most overlap boots allow. Be clear on what that is, though: it is a hike mode for getting around the resort, not a touring boot. There are no tech inserts, and the boot ships on a standard Alpine (ISO 5355) sole that clips into regular alpine bindings — GripWalk soles are listed by Rossignol as a separate purchase, so confirm exactly which sole is on your pair and that it matches your bindings before you ski it. Inside, the Custom T2 liner is insulated with Thinsulate and a layer of sheep wool, and it's thermoformable — a bootfitter can heat-mold it to your foot to take out the dead space and pressure points a boot has straight out of the box. The women's-specific cuff is shorter and shaped to clear the calf, so it accommodates a woman's leg rather than just shrinking a men's mold.

This boot is for a newer or recreational skier — someone who skis a handful of weeks a season, sticks mostly to groomers, and wants warmth and easy entry over edge-to-edge precision. The 102 mm last is a true high-volume fit, so if you have a narrow or low-volume foot you will feel slop in here that no liner or buckle will fully correct; a narrower last in Rossignol's lower-volume Pure or Alltrack LV line would serve you better. Likewise, a skier who is already comfortable on blues and pushing into blacks will outgrow a flex-70 shell fast — the boot deflects before you do, and you lose the feedback that lets you actually steer. And if your plan is real touring or sidecountry, this isn't the boot for that: the hike mode and alpine sole are built for the resort. Come in and get fitted before you commit — flex, last, and sole compatibility have to match your foot, your skiing, and your bindings, not just your budget or the color. If you are the right skier with the right foot, the Alltrack 70 W is a comfortable, warm, and easy-to-manage all-mountain boot that won't fight you on the way down the hill.
