About the Product
The Bataleon Disaster is a dedicated park and jib board built around a true twin shape and Bataleon's Low Camber profile combined with 3BT Triple Base Technology and SideKick shaping. What 3BT actually does is lift the base at the edges — the nose and tail contact points sit slightly raised off the snow rather than running flat, so when you're pressing into a rail or loading a butter, the board rolls onto an edge smoothly without the sudden hook you'd get from a conventional base. SideKick extends that uplift outward past the widest points of the tip and tail, which makes the transition from edge to edge feel round and even rather than abrupt. The poplar core with beech stringers keeps things light and gives the board enough backbone to produce real pop off the tail while the soft 3/10 flex stays forgiving when you land a little back-seat. Bi-Ax laminate glassing keeps torsional stiffness low, which is exactly what you want for spinning on a box or wrapping a jib — the board twists slightly with you rather than fighting the rotation. The sintered Hyper Glide S base is fast for park use and takes wax well, which matters when your approach speed determines how far down the rail you lock.
This board suits intermediate park riders who want to develop their jib and press game without fighting their equipment. It works well at indoor parks, rope-tow laps, and resort parks where rails and small-to-medium jumps are the priority. Who should not buy this: if you ride mostly groomers, variable terrain, or larger jump lines where you need stability at speed, the soft flex and low camber will feel vague and unresponsive past moderate speeds — look instead at the Bataleon Evil Twin, which runs a stiffer flex and a more traditional camber profile built to carve and handle big air. Riders wanting something between jib-specialist and all-mountain should also consider the Bataleon Goliath, which adds more SideKick uplift and a stiffer build for riders pushing into more aggressive freestyle.
