About the Product

The Evil Twin is Bataleon's flagship park and freestyle twin — it has been in the lineup since 2003, and the 2026 version doesn't mess with that formula. The foundation is Bataleon's 3BT Triple Base Technology combined with tip-to-tail positive camber: the base between your feet sits flat (giving you a stable, poppy platform), while toward the nose and tail the base gradually lifts, raising the contact points off the snow. Those lifted edges mean far fewer edge catches on boxes, rails, and during presses — not because the board is rockered or soft, but because the geometry physically pulls the edges away from the snow at the points where they're most likely to hook. SideKick reinforcement amplifies that effect at the widest points of the nose and tail, shaping them into a slight hull that also helps the board roll smoothly from edge to edge. The core is a lightweight 70/30 Paulownia and poplar blend with Carbon Stringers and a Central Super Tube running down the center — that combination gives the board a snappy, quick-feeling pop on ollies without adding torsional rigidity that would make it stiff and grabby at speed. The medium 5/10 flex lands in a genuinely useful place: responsive enough to hold a clean carve on groomers, forgiving enough to butter and press without fighting the board, and with enough rebound for solid jump pop.

This board is built for intermediate to advanced freestyle riders who ride the park consistently and want a board that handles jumps, butters, boxes, and rails without demanding perfection. If you're an experienced rider who charges hard all-mountain terrain, wants a setback stance for powder days, or needs a stiffer, more directional platform for high-speed carving and variable conditions, this is not your board — look at something like Bataleon's Chaser, which is built to ride the whole mountain rather than live in the park. And if you're a beginner still locking down edge control, a softer, more forgiving deck like the Fun.Kink (medium-soft 4/10 flex) will serve you better and make your progression less frustrating; if you specifically want a soft jib board, the Disaster is the looser, lower-stakes option. The Evil Twin is specifically for riders who know what they want from a park board and want a true twin that makes switch just as easy as regular, with enough structure to hold up when the riding gets serious.
