About the Product
The Solis is Black Crows' steep-skiing specialist — a 100mm ski built for couloirs, no-fall-zone faces, and big vertical. A homogeneous flex with a firm tip and tail plus a long, progressive front rocker gives it exclusive pivot control: it turns predictably in tight, exposed terrain without the tips grabbing or oversteering, and a titanal plate underfoot adds the edge grip and stability you want when the snow turns firm or you're carrying a heavy pack.
This is a specialist's tool for an advanced-to-expert skier who skis technical steep lines and ski-mountaineering objectives. It's directional and built for control, not playfulness — at a 25m radius it's not a quick-turning all-mountain ski, not a powder-surfing freeride ski, and not for someone who mostly skis groomers or resort laps. If you want a do-everything freeride ski, look at the Atris or Corvus instead.
