The Burton Kids' Smalls Re:Flex is a traditional strap binding — a Hammockstrap ankle strap and a Supergrip Capstrap over the toe — built specifically for young riders still developing their mountain legs. The Re:Flex baseplate is the real story here: instead of a rigid puck-style disc, it uses a floating mount that lets the board actually flex underfoot the way it was designed to. Kids feel more of the board, less of a stiff platform working against it. The single-component highback and polycarbonate base keep the whole setup light, and the soft-to-medium flex means a child who makes a mistake in their body position isn't punished for it — the binding works with them while they figure things out.
