About the Product
The Capita D.O.A. — Defenders of Awesome — has been the benchmark all-mountain freestyle twin for over a decade, and the 2026 version keeps that formula intact with a few years of refinement behind it. The foundation is Capita's Resort V1 profile: full camber between the feet that transitions to flat and then early rise at the tips. What that means on snow is genuine energy storage out of turns — you get real carving bite and spring off the tail on jumps — without the tip-catching aggression of old-school full camber. The P2 Superlight core (paulownia and poplar) keeps weight down while the Carbon Fiber Boosters woven into the Hybrid Holy-Sheet fiberglass layup add snap without going board-stiff. At a medium 5.5 flex it's responsive enough to hold speed through variable snow and launch you off rollers and side-hits, but soft enough through the nose and tail that you can still work a press if you commit to it. The true twin shape and centered stance mean switch feels exactly like regular, which matters whether you're lapping the park or just riding casual laps with friends. The Quantum Drive base is sintruded rather than sintered — Capita's blend of the two constructions: higher density for durability, good wax absorption, and a low-maintenance life. It gives up some outright glide in exchange for a base that shrugs off park abuse. This is a board that rewards aggressive, dynamic riding rather than casual cruising.
The D.O.A. is built for intermediate-to-advanced all-mountain freestyle riders who want one board that carves, jumps, and handles the whole resort without switching quivers — someone who spends equal time boosting natural hits, hitting the park, and ripping groomers. If that describes your season, this board earns its reputation every run. Who should skip it: beginners will find the camber contact points unforgiving and the medium flex tiring to manage, and true powder hounds will be disappointed — the centered stance and twin shape offer no real float help in deep snow. If buttering and playful ground tricks are your priority over jumping and carving, look at the Capita Ultrafear instead, which trades some of the D.O.A.'s pop and edge hold for a softer, more pressable ride throughout.
