Four aluminum buckles and a 40mm velcro power strap close down over the Mimic Platinum liner, which is pre-shaped at the heel and ankle and designed to be heat-molded in-shop so it wraps your actual foot rather than a generic form. Atomic also heat-molds the shell itself through their Memory Fit process, which reshapes the cuff and shell walls around your foot in a single fitting session — that combination of moldable liner and moldable shell is what separates this boot from wide-last boots that just have more room and hope for the best. On snow, the 120 flex moves power out of a wide platform cleanly: the Power Ankle Lock keeps your heel seated so the buckles aren't fighting foot spread, and the Power Shift adjustment lets you dial forward lean between 13, 15, or 17 degrees to match your stance without tools. GripWalk soles are standard, so you can walk a flat base lodge without destroying your knees.

This boot is for advanced to expert men's skiers — strong legs, committing to turns — who have a genuinely wide, high-volume foot (102mm measured or confirmed by last comparison). If your foot is standard width, around 99–100mm, the Hawx Prime 120 S GW is the right call; putting a standard foot in a 102mm last kills lateral response no matter how stiff the flex.
