The HEAD Raptor WCR 120 PV is built on the brand's World Cup race platform and pulled down to a 120 flex — still very stiff, but more approachable than the top plug boots in the Raptor line. The shell is a new-generation polyurethane construction that damps vibration while keeping the response direct; HEAD also includes a Flex Performance tuning insert and a rear-support plug so a bootfitter can dial the flex between 120 and 130 without swapping shells. Inside sits a Liquid Fit liner: that means your bootfitter injects a liquid foam compound directly into the heel and ankle pocket, which cures around your specific anatomy rather than just thermoforming to approximate it. Four micro-adjustable low-profile racing alloy buckles and a 45mm power strap close the boot with no wasted movement — every millimeter of buckle travel goes into wrap, not bulk. The 96mm last is deep in the heel and long in the toe box, following HEAD's Race Balance geometry for a centered, hip-over-binding stance. The boot ships with a FIS-approved flat sole for sanctioned racing on dedicated race plates. FIS approval is race homologation, not a binding-interface standard — HEAD publishes no ISO 5355 or GripWalk claim for this boot, have a technician confirm your binding accepts this sole before mounting.

This boot is for strong, technically proficient adults — club racers, ex-racers, and the subset of expert recreational skiers who genuinely need that kind of stiffness and narrow wrap to make a race ski respond correctly. If your foot is wider than about 99mm across the ball, the 96mm last will compress the forefoot and create pressure points that no amount of buckle adjustment will fix; a wider, softer race boot such as the Raptor WCR 90 PV is the smarter starting point. If you're an advanced recreational skier who spends most days on groomers and moguls rather than race courses, a flex in the 100–110 range in a 98–100mm last will give you far more comfort and still deliver plenty of precision. The Liquid Fit customization is powerful, but it requires an authorized HEAD dealer to do the injection properly — it is not a DIY process.
