Jones Women's Howler Snowboard 2026/2027

The Jones Women's Howler runs full camber end to end: a mid-stiff 4/5 directional freeride deck, scored Powder 9, Freestyle 9, All-Mountain 7. Victor de Le Rue and Elena Hight designed it, and the catalog points it at steep, technical ground.

High Power Camber is the profile, and the name is literal. Camber presses the whole effective edge into the snow, and nothing is rockered at either end. Medium Traction Tech notches that steel like a serrated knife, Jones's own image for it, adding contact points along the running length for firm-snow grip. The outline is tapered directional, capped with 3D Flip Tips, and it is the taper, not any rocker, that Jones credits for the float behind a Powder 9.

The build sheet reads Power Core, triax fiberglass, Sintered 8000 base, Premium Eco Topsheet. Sintered material is porous: it drinks wax, runs quick on it, and slows down once it dries. Koroyd and a Bcomp Carbon Flax Stringer are printed on the same list, and Jones publishes no mechanism for either. Read them as build spec rather than a promise.

Four lengths, all Black: 142, 145, 148, 151, with the 142 new this season. Waists climb 24.1 / 24.3 / 24.5 / 24.7cm while the sidecut opens 7.2 / 7.4 / 7.6 / 7.8m, so a short deck shuts a turn down early and a long one runs it further out. The 148 weighs 2.4kg. No wide width is printed anywhere in this run, and 24.7cm is as broad as the platform gets, so a large boot has to be measured against the edge first.

Aimed at a directional rider from solid intermediate up: steeps, trees, broken ground, and whatever features turn up on the way down. It is the wrong board for beginners, for the park and switch rider who should be on a symmetric twin, and for anyone counting on a rockered nose to do the floating. It arrives bare.
