Lange CODE 95 W BOA MV GW Ski Boots

The Lange CODE 95 W BOA MV GW is a women's freeride boot on a 100mm medium-volume last, flex 95, with a BOA dial and a GripWalk sole. It is new for 26/27: Lange has not put the CODE line on its own website, and no independent on-snow test has been published yet. Nothing here is a ride report: it is read off the construction and Lange's catalog.

MV means medium volume, and Lange's word for this last is wider: 100mm, against 97mm for the LV version of the same boot. The shell is drawn for width across the forefoot, a fuller instep, volume through the midfoot. The BOA H+i1 dial replaces the lower buckles and closes that section evenly, right where a buckle digs into the instep — but a dial closes a shell; it does not create volume. Put a narrow, low-volume foot in a 100mm shell and the only move left is to crank the dial until the foot stops moving, which is how you manufacture pressure points and heel lift. That foot belongs in the LV. And the 100mm is not itself a promise: Lange does not print the shell size it was measured at, so it tells you this boot is wider than its twin, not that it fits you. A shell check settles that.

Flex 95 reads on Lange's scale only, and Lange tuned it for lighter skiers: the Dual Core shell is built to be bent, not leaned against. Inside is a Core Custom 3 customizable liner with PrimaLoft insulation, a 40mm strap, and Active Blade walk mode with 53° of range.

The sole is GripWalk, with ISO 23223 molded into the rubber blocks, so the binding has to declare GripWalk or MultiNorm support — a classic alpine binding cut for ISO 5355 soles alone is not a match. The tech pin inserts are a second, separate interface for pin bindings. Lange has not published a weight; the catalog still reads WIP.
