One Ball 4WD Cool Snowboard & Ski Wax — 165g

A hot-wax bar for cool snow conditions — 28°F to 21°F (-2°C to -6°C). The 4WD Cool uses One Ball's hydrocarbon formula: no fluoro, no PFAS, no microplastics, no surfactants, no additives. Iron it in, let it cool, scrape and brush. That's the whole job. At 165g you get a lot of wax for the price, and it works on both skis and snowboards. One Ball has been making wax in Belfair, Washington since 1986, so the formula is well-dialed.

Not for you if your local snow runs warm or you're skiing in spring slush — One Ball makes a separate Warm variant for that. And if you want something you can rub on in the parking lot, this isn't it: it requires an iron and a scraper. But if you wax regularly and your typical conditions are cool to cold Pacific Northwest or high-altitude days, the 4WD Cool is a straightforward, honest bar at a fair price.
