The Look PIVOT 2.0 15 GW in B95 is the binding that built Look's reputation — and this updated version refines it without losing what made the original iconic. It runs a DIN range of 6–15, so it covers a wide band of skier weight and aggression, but the floor of 6 and the ceiling of 15 mean it's calibrated for advanced and expert adults who ski hard and ski fast. What sets the PIVOT apart is the turntable heel: instead of a conventional heel cup that fights lateral movement, the heel rotates directly under your tibia and delivers 28mm of elastic travel — far more than most alpine bindings give you. Combined with 45mm of elastic travel in the all-metal RACE toe piece and a 180-degree multi-directional release, the result on snow is a binding that absorbs massive impact and chattery variable snow without pre-releasing, while still releasing cleanly when you actually fall. The B95 brake fits skis with a waist up to roughly 95mm — ideal for most all-mountain and light freeride shapes. Boot compatibility covers Alpine ISO 5355 and GripWalk ISO 23223A soles. It does not take touring (MNC/WTR/ISO 9523) soles. The stack height is low and the mounting footprint is short to preserve ski flex, and the heel DIN adjustment has been redesigned on the 2.0 to be easier to set in the field. This is the binding for advanced to expert all-mountain, freeride, and mogul skiers who put real load through their gear — people who've had bindings pre-release at bad moments and never want that again. The PIVOT's reputation in bump skiing and high-consequence freeride lines is earned: the long elastic travel is why it holds when lesser bindings don't. That said, there are three situations where you should skip this one. First, if your ski's waist is wider than 95mm, you need the B105 or B115 version — running an undersized brake risks dragging a tip in deep snow after a fall, which is a real hazard. Second, if you ski at a DIN below 6 — lighter adults, many women, beginner-to-intermediate skiers — the PIVOT 2.0 15 GW is not the right tool; you want a binding with a lower DIN minimum (look at the Look NX or SPX line) so it releases when it needs to. Third, if you need touring sole compatibility (Salomon Shift, Dynafit-compatible tech, or WTR/MNC), this binding won't accept those boots — Look's Pivot is alpine and GripWalk only.
