Rome Rene 2026/2027

The Rome Rene is a Directional Twin snowboard built on Fusion Camber, a mid-stiff deck rated 7 of 10 on Rome's own Playful-to-Precise scale. It is the signature board of Finnish Rome team rider Rene Rinnekangas, all new for the 26/27 season, and it steps into the line in place of the Rene-Gade with a very different shape. Fusion Camber runs positive camber between your feet with a section of rocker at the nose and tail, so the board holds an edge and stores pop underfoot while staying looser and more forgiving at the tips. Bamboo Omega HotRods sit in the core for a deep, loaded rebound rather than a nervous snap, a single-radius Radial sidecut makes each turn shape predictable, and a SinterStrong sintered base keeps it quick with little upkeep.

Rome scores the Rene highest for all-mountain, then park, with powder last, and that order is honest: this is a park-to-peak twin, not a float-first powder board. It is aimed at riders from intermediate up who like to drive a board and take freestyle everywhere, and who would rather have mid-stiff snap and grip than a soft, surfy feel. A true beginner will find the camber and the flex ask for more input than a soft rocker deck gives back; a powder-first rider, or a pure jibber chasing the softest press, should look at a different shape.
