A matched helmet-and-goggle set built for young skiers and riders. The Glide Jr. MIPS uses in-mold construction — the outer shell and EPS foam fused into one piece — to keep weight down (350g / 12 oz in size YM) without sacrificing durability. MIPS is real rotational-impact protection, not a label upgrade. AirEvac venting channels pull warm air up from the face and out through the helmet, and they line up with the Snowday goggle so the system actually works as designed. The dial fit adjusts with gloves on, and the removable goggle strap lock keeps the goggle flush against the shell. Comes in three youth sizes: YXS (48–52 cm), YS (51–55 cm), and YM (55–59 cm). Certified ASTM F 2040 and CE EN 1077:2007 Class B.

The Snowday goggle runs a spherical Carbonic-x lens — no ChromaPop here, this is Smith's entry-level optic, which is honest for a kids' combo at this price. It is distortion-free and impact-resistant. The Fog-X anti-fog inner lens and two-layer DriWix face foam work together to manage moisture. The floating foam membrane eliminates eyeglass temple pressure, so it works for kids who wear glasses. Dual-slide strap adjusts for growing heads. If your kid is particular about lens color or wants an upgrade to ChromaPop optics, the goggles are sold separately — but for most families buying a first serious youth setup, this combo is a clean, no-gap fit with nothing wasted.

A few honest limits: if your kid's head is past ~59 cm, they've outgrown this set — the YM is the largest helmet size and the goggle runs youth medium. Move them to an adult-Small helmet (Smith Survey MIPS) and an adult goggle sized to match. Also, Class B is a recreational certification, perfectly appropriate for free skiing and riding — but if your child is entering a junior gate-race program that specifies a homologated FIS race helmet, this lid won't meet that requirement.
