Stockli Laser SL Slalom Ski 2026/2027

Stöckli's Laser SL is the recreational slalom carver in the Swiss maker's Laser line — 66 mm underfoot, built for short, fast turns on hard snow, and distinct from the FIS-spec Laser SL race ski it is named after. Its 120-66-98 mm shape is the same in every size, and the radius grows with length: from 11.0 m at 150 cm to 14.5 m at 170 cm.

A beech-forward Race Core in a sandwich chassis gives the smooth, stable ride Stöckli is known for. The aluminum layer is notched in an S-shape at tip and tail — the FTC system — easing the ends into each turn while the core stays firm; Stöckli publishes neither the metal sheet count nor the camber profile. Carbon inserts by the plate (CPT) snap the ski out of each turn, phenol RSB sidewalls push power to the edge, and wide SME edges run on a Racing-Graphite base bevelled 1.0° base and 2.0° side.

The independent review describes a ski that grips ice hard and stays composed at speed rather than nervous, and one owner found it approachable for anyone skiing with good technique — so the fit is an active, centered pilot from strong intermediate up, not a passenger. Everything is spent on the piste, though: with a 66 mm waist and a 14.5 m longest radius, it has no answer for soft snow or long, drawn-out arcs.

In the Laser range, step up to the SC (70 mm) for a wider spread of turn shapes or the WRT (67 mm) for more high-speed hold; gate racers want the separate Laser SL FIS.
