Stockli Montero AW Skis 2026/2027

The Stöckli Montero AW is a women's all-mountain ski with an 80 mm waist — the comfort-oriented carver of Stöckli's Montero line, built in Switzerland. It is a sandwich construction around a poplar and beech wood core, finished with a racing-graphite base and a polyamide/TPU topsheet. The AW uses Stöckli's SF Softflex layup: individual layers are thinner and some use lighter materials, so the ski flexes with less effort from the skier.

The shape works in the same direction. Tip rocker with camber underfoot and an extended tail rocker make the ski easy to roll into and out of a turn, and the widest points sit further forward and back so the full edge engages early. Tilt it higher and the effective edge grows — short-feeling and agile at low angles, calmer as it is driven. Independent testers of this model describe the result as smooth, damp, precise carving: quiet on groomed snow and composed in bumps.

It suits women who ski groomed runs most of the day and want Swiss edge grip with a low-effort ride — from confident intermediates stepping up to advanced carvers who live on edge. Just as clearly, some skiers should skip it. At 80 mm, flotation was the weakest axis in the 2025 independent test, so powder-first skiers should look at Stöckli's women's Nela 93 instead. Skiers after a light, surfy feel should know the tension here: Stöckli's wording says "lightweight," yet the brand publishes no weight, and one tester found it noticeably heavy for its size. And it is a premium Swiss purchase.

Three lengths are offered — 150, 158 and 166 cm — with the turn radius growing as the length does.
