Stockli Stormrider 102 Skis 2026/2027

The Stöckli Stormrider 102 is a Swiss-built freeride ski, 102mm underfoot, made for storm-day snow — packed powder, crud, chop and wind-affected snow — taken at speed. In Stöckli's freeride line it sits between the piste-leaning Stormrider 95 and the deep-snow Stormrider 108: the ski for days when the mountain is soft, broken and fast rather than bottomless.

The construction is Stöckli's TITEC PRO Titanal package over a poplar, beech and paulownia core — beech for power, the lighter woods to keep weight moderate for a full-metal ski. One honest note: Stöckli's own materials for the 102 never say how many Titanal layers it carries; independent reviews describe the layup as dual Titanal. Around that core sit Polywall sidewalls in a slightly softer, more elastic material that adds damping, a Big Powder Rocker tip — 20mm high and 60mm long — for lift in deep and difficult snow, a softer polymer Freeride Tail that keeps the back of the ski releasable, and a Racing-Graphite base. The sum is the point: a damp, quiet, stable ski with edge grip that is rare at this width.

It is a ski for advanced-to-expert freeriders who carry speed and give it input. It is directional and demanding rather than forgiving or surfy, and a true intermediate should look elsewhere. It is also honest about conditions: in one 2026 test, the same ski earned a ten from one tester in firm and chopped snow and a two from another in wet spring slush. If your season is mostly wet snow, this is the wrong ski; if deep days outnumber storm days, look at the Stormrider 108.

The Stormrider 102 comes in three lengths — 173, 182 and 191cm — with the same 135-102-125 sidecut across all three. It is sold flat, so the binding is a separate purchase; we mount it, set it up and help you settle on length in-shop.
