About the Product
The Super Blackops 98 is Rossignol's playful all-mountain freeride ski — a 98mm waist that's wide enough to surf soft snow and float on a powder day, but still grippy and precise when you put it on edge. A poplar core with a Titanal Beam underfoot (metal around the binding, not a full sheet) adds stability and grip where it matters while keeping the ski lively, and the twin rocker profile lets you slash, smear, and turn at will. It's got a loud, throwback look, but it skis like a serious freeride tool, not a novelty.
It's for an advanced skier who wants one ski to charge variable all-mountain terrain and soft snow. If you mostly carve firm groomers, it's wider than you need (look at something in the 80s underfoot); if you only ever ski deep powder, go wider; and it's too much ski for a beginner. This is the flat ski, sold without bindings.
