The Jones Zenith FASE is a carbon-injected fast-entry binding, new for 2026/27 and built for expert freeriding and high-speed carving. Jones's own numbers: flex 5/5, labeled "Stiff & powerful"; terrain scores All-Mountain 9/10, Freeride 10/10, Freestyle 7/10 — nothing on our Jones wall scores lower for park. A pair in size M weighs 1.8 kg, the heaviest of the six.
Bushings and the Flip-It strap are absent, so the Freeride/Surf swap on the two-strap line does not exist here. FASE is Jones's fast-entry hardware: three named parts, and both straps and ratchets stay. The AutoBack is a highback that drops shut as the boot lands, releases when it lifts, and lies flat for skating and lift lines. The FastStrap is a long ankle ladder that stays threaded, so tension goes on one-handed. The Locked-In Toe Strap sits on a tri-toothed ladder, closed by Jones's LSR 2.1 auto-lock buckle. Getting in is hands-free; tightening still is not.
The build, part by part. Fusion+ XR-C baseplate: asymmetric, low-profile, carbon-injected, on a three-layer EVA/TPU pad. AsymCore Carbon highback: stiff, fully extended upper wing, pre-loaded with forward lean. VertEx ankle strap: two-part, soft PU foam over a structured spine. ImpactCush+ footbed: denser foam, sliding, 3° cant. Adaptive Fit toe strap; alloy buckles. Straps and forward lean adjust by hand; no tool required.
Mounting is universal — the supplied disk covers all three mainstream insert patterns: 4x4, 2x4 and Burton's EST/Channel. The warranty is not blanket: Jones covers the Hanger and the Post for life, every other part for twelve months. One caveat, since this is a first-year model: no earlier version exists, nobody has published an independent on-snow review, and nobody here has stood on it. This is the spec sheet, not a day on the hill.
Sizing — the boot decides, not your weight

Those are Jones's men's boot numbers. Women's boots run on a different US scale, so use EU or Mondopoint rather than carrying the US number across. PTO stocks M and L, in Black Carbon.
