Lange RS 130 LV Ski Boots

The Lange RS 130 LV is a 130-flex race boot on a 97mm low-volume last at reference size 26.5, built for expert skiers, instructors and racers. Lange files it under Race Performance, and it behaves like it: the narrow shell holds the foot still, and a solid race sole bolts the assembly to the binding. Comfort is what paid for that.

The shell is polyurethane ether with a polyurethane/polyether cuff, using Lange's Dual Core construction — hard and soft plastics blended inside one shell for targeted power transmission, boot flex, and elastic tension that comes back as rebound. A heat-moldable World Cup liner, a Premium footbed, aluminum micro-adjust race buckles, a 50mm Cam-Lock strap, dual-screw canting and a removable spoiler complete it. The 26/27 catalog lists 2,165 g. There is no walk mode and no tech fittings.

The sole decides your binding. The RS 130 LV runs a SOLID SOLE with ISO 5355 — the alpine sole standard — molded into the sole block itself. It is not GripWalk, cannot be converted to GripWalk later, and cannot be replaced as it wears, so the binding has to be built to accept an alpine ISO 5355 sole. The boot suits a genuinely low-volume foot — narrow forefoot, low instep, slim ankle — on a skier with the weight and technique to bend a 130 race shell. It is the wrong boot for a medium or wide foot, a high instep, beginners and intermediates, and anyone who walks far from the car. If the 97mm shell turns into a fight, the RS 130 MV keeps the flex on a 100mm last, and the RS 120 MV opens both.
