Ogasaka KS-CX Skis with SLR11GW Binding 2027

The OGASAKA KS-CX is a 66 mm piste carver drawn for the short turn: at 145 cm it comes around in 9.5 m, the tightest radius on OGASAKA's 2026-27 adult radius table. New this season, it opens the KEO'S line. PTO stocks the white KS-CX/WT as a system ski at $1,000, Tyrolia's SLR11GW on a JOY SLR base; the flat ski is $820.

The shape is inherited: OGASAKA gives the KS-CX the same 119.0-66.0-104.0 mm sidecut as the KS-CV, on the lightweight core the KS-CV does not get. That core takes it to 788 g/m — grams per meter of one ski — against 903 for the KS-CV on its plain core, and nothing in KEO'S is lighter. Around it sits special F.R.P in a sandwich build, with no aluminum: the KS-XX, KS-AP2 and KS-UP carry an A7178 sheet and this ski does not; OGASAKA picks metal per model. Metal is what quiets a carver as speed rises, so its absence is where the ceiling sits. OGASAKA marks it F.F.S — its name for a front rocker shape — and F.L.F, and names no flex, no camber, no wood species, no per-length weight.

OGASAKA says it supports the beginner and the skier who cannot power a ski, from low speed. It will not hold a long, fast line: even the 165 cm still turns at 12.5 m. At 66 mm it is the wrong ski for soft snow; a skier who wants one pair for the whole mountain belongs on the 81 mm UNITY line. The riding record is thin — two riders, two rides, one length each. The detailed one is a 70 kg tester on the 150: he praised how fast the tip engaged, found the ski short under him, said it chattered, and wanted a longer size.
