Ogasaka KS-XX Skis with SRED Plate 2027

The OGASAKA KS-XX is a hard-snow carving ski, 68 mm underfoot, and the high-end model of the KEO'S line — the one OGASAKA places in its XX Collection. The sidecut holds at 115.0-68.0-97.0 mm through all four lengths, and the radius decides everything: 14.7 m at 162 cm, 17.8 m at 177 cm. No other KEO'S has a floor anywhere near it — the KS-CX turns from 9.5 m, the KS-UP from 12.1 m. This ski is drawn for a medium or long arc.

It is a sandwich build over an NF wood core of bamboo and beech, laminated with an A7178 aluminum alloy sheet and OGASAKA's special F.R.P. OGASAKA has never published what fiber that F.R.P is. And the aluminum is not doing what you might assume: Power Platform Function, the marked technology that raises rigidity underfoot, is not on this ski. Its structure row carries two marks instead: Front Float System and Front Lead Function. OGASAKA also names SLIT TECH, credits it with grip, and never explains it; the account of slits in the metal at tip and tail comes from riders, not the factory. Its 1,044 g/m — grams per meter of a single ski — is the heaviest g/m of any OGASAKA piste ski.

This is a ski for an advanced carver on firm groomers whose natural turn is already a long one. It is not a short-radius tool, not a soft-snow ski, and not the cheap way into KEO'S. Be clear about what OGASAKA withholds, too: it publishes no camber or rocker profile, no flex index and no per-length weight.

On the shelf here: a 177 cm carrying the new SRED plate, $1,860; the flat ski is $1,670. Nobody has publicly ridden that exact setup — SRED is new this season, and no test of it, or of the 177, has been published. The plate comes fitted; the binding is a separate purchase, which we mount and set to your boot sole while we settle the length with you.
