关于产品

The Rossignol Sender 100 is a men's freeride ski, 99 to 100 mm underfoot, sold flat with no binding in the box. It sits at the narrow, light end of Rossignol's Sender family — the width you reach for when a day runs inbounds and out, rather than one spent chasing the deepest snow.

One thing matters more than the rest here, because the Sender 100 and the wider Sender 110 look like the same ski. They share the twin-rocker shape, the Progressive Sidecut, a poplar wood core inside a full sidewall, and a sintered base. The metal is where they part. Rossignol's spec sheet gives the Sender 110 a Carbon Alloy Matrix and a titanal beam; on the Sender 100 that reinforcement field is left empty, and its listed technologies include no metal or carbon. Wood and fiber in a full sidewall is the whole build, and the absence is the character: lighter, livelier and more forgiving, with a lower ceiling for composure once the snow gets firm and choppy and the speed climbs.

Twin rocker lifts the tip and the tail clear of the snow, so the nose floats up front and the tail smears and releases instead of tracking like a rail. An Air Tip lightens the shovel, and the poplar core keeps it lively. The turn radius swings with length: a short 13 m at the 162, a long 20 m at the 184. Picking a length is picking how the ski turns, not only how tall you are.

This is a one-ski choice for the intermediate-to-advanced skier who leaves the groomer for soft snow, trees and broken-up off-piste, and who wants the lighter Sender rather than the planted one. It is the wrong ski if you mostly carve firm groomers — a 99 mm ski, twin-rockered and metal-free, goes loose held hard at speed, and Rossignol's on-piste Arcade skis are built for that. Sold flat, it needs a binding and a mount, which we will fit and set once we have your boots.

Who It's For

The Sender 100 Open suits an intermediate to advanced skier who wants one ski for the whole mountain and leans toward soft snow rather than hardpack carving. At 100 mm underfoot it is wide enough to float on a storm day but still narrow enough to roll onto edge on a groomer without feeling sluggish.

If you ski powder most days, the wider Sender 110 Open floats more. If you ski groomers most days, a narrower all-mountain ski will carve more precisely on hard snow.

Sizing

We stock the Sender 100 Open in 162, 170, 178 and 184 cm. Note that the sidecut changes with length: the 162 and 170 measure 99 mm at the waist, while the 178 and 184 measure 100 mm. Turn radius grows with length, from 13 m at 162 cm to 20 m at 184 cm — the shorter lengths turn more tightly, the longer ones run straighter at speed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Rossignol Sender 100 Open come with bindings?
No. "Open" means it is sold flat, without a binding. Rossignol's recommended pairing for this ski is the Pivot 2.0 11 GW with a 105 mm brake.

What is the difference between the Sender 100 and the Sender 110?
Waist width. The Sender 100 measures 99–100 mm underfoot and is the more versatile of the two on firm snow. The Sender 110 measures 110 mm and floats better in deep snow. Rossignol also specs a Titanal Beam and Carbon Alloy Matrix on the Sender 110, which makes it the more damped, more powerful ski of the pair.

Is the Sender 100 Open good for a skier who is still improving?
It is manageable for a confident intermediate: the twin rocker makes the ski easy to steer and forgiving to release. It is not a beginner ski — a 100 mm freeride ski asks more of you on ice than a narrow piste ski does.

Does the Sender 100 Open have metal in it?
No. Rossignol does not list a metal layer for this ski. It is a wood-core ski with rectangular full sidewalls.
