Stöckli Laser SX, 74 mm underfoot, is the wide-body comfort carver of the Swiss brand's Laser groomer range — the broadest waist among those piste skis, and fully re-engineered for 26/27. One 122-74-103 mm profile carries through every size, with the turn radius climbing by length from 13.1 m at 158 cm to 16.4 m at 178. That places it at the long end of the family's turn shapes, happiest linking rounded medium and longer carves at a relaxed-to-brisk pace.

What makes it easygoing is a lighter, poplar-forward Piste Core Light beneath a notched-Titanal top layer Stöckli calls Turtle Shell 2.0: low-speed steering stays light and neutral, and the metal firms up as the tempo rises. A rockered tail loosens the finish of each arc, the shovel's Adaptive Contact Length feeds in more edge the harder the ski is rolled over, and slimmer Solid Metal Edge Light rails ride a graphite race base. The factory grind is set soft for comfort rather than sharpened for racing, and Stöckli lists no weight.

Think of it as a one-ski groomer answer for someone who prizes ease over a race ski's demands and skis rounder, longer turns more than snappy short ones. It has no business off the trail — at 74 mm the "wide range of uses" means variety on the piste, not float — and anyone hunting quick slalom turns or hard race grip is better pointed at the tighter Laser CX or a Race Core model. Worth flagging: this is a clean-sheet design and no outside tester has been on it yet, so the picture here rests on Stöckli's engineering and on where the ski lands beside its stablemates.
