Stockli Laser WRT Skis 2026/2027

The Stöckli Laser WRT is a race-carving ski from the Swiss brand Stöckli, 67 mm underfoot — the top carbon build in the Laser line, cut to hold a giant-slalom arc yet still release into a short slalom turn. Its 119-67-101 mm shape is the same in all lengths, so length sets the turn: 13.7 m at 166 cm, 14.8 m at 172, 16.0 m at 178.

The build is a sandwich over a beech-and-poplar Race Core — Stöckli's heavier, damper wood, chosen for stability once the speed climbs. Reinforcement is carbon, not aluminum: a Carbon Steering Control laminate sits up front, visible in the topsheet window, to settle the ski at speed, while Carbon Power Turn strips run beside the binding plate under the core, loading through the arc to give what Stöckli calls explosive acceleration out of the turn. Black racing sidewalls transmit power to a wider-than-standard SME solid metal edge, and a Racing-Graphite base carries a 1.0° base / 2.0° side factory tune. The published construction lists no metal laminate, and Stöckli prints no weight.

Reviewers rate it advanced-to-expert and firm-snow-first — praised in testing as exceptionally calm and stable, though only on smooth, hard surfaces. It rewards a committed, centered, aggressive skier and exposes a passive one. It is the wrong ski for timid or intermediate skiers, for powder or off-trail days at 67 mm, and for anyone after an easy cruiser — that job goes to the softer Laser SC. Want pure short turns?
