The Stronghold is the top of 686's leather glove line. A genuine GORE-TEX insert does the waterproofing and breathability — a real GORE-TEX guarantee, not a house membrane — under a leather shell built to break in and last. It carries 686's WARMEST insulation rating, so it's aimed at deep-cold, mid-winter lift days rather than spring slush. Soundtouch fingertips let you work a phone without pulling the glove off, and the oversized Secure Strap wrist leash keeps it with you on the chair.
Buy this if you want a warm, waterproof leather glove for genuinely cold riding and you're fine maintaining leather. If you run hot or mostly ride wet spring days, this will be too much glove — look at the Linear or Sightline instead.
