About the Product
The Indoor Survival is Capita's dedicated park and resort freestyle board — a true twin built around their PARK V1 + Flat Kick Tech profile, which runs traditional camber through the effective edge and then zeros it out four centimeters before the sidecut ends. That transition into a flat kick at the nose and tail is the whole story here: you get the locked-in pop and carve-ready tension of a camber board underfoot, but the contact points are lifted just enough to keep the tips from hooking when you're setting up presses or riding switch into landings. The Meta Core uses a P2 Superlight wood layup reinforced with Beech stringers through the insert zones, which keeps the weight down while adding snap exactly where you load for ollies. The Titanal Centerline Booster runs longitudinally through the core to dampen chatter at speed so the board stays composed when you're pushing mach on a groomer between laps. Flex sits right around a 4.5 out of 10 — soft enough that butters come without a fight, stiff enough that the board tracks cleanly and doesn't feel washy on edge. The New Age Radial Death Grip sidecut geometry gives the waist a slight reverse arc for a defined bite point mid-turn. On hardpack groomers and in the park it works well; on icy bulletproof conditions it holds its own but won't replace a dedicated carver.
This board is built for intermediate-to-advanced riders who spend most of their day lapping the park, hitting jumps, and working features — and who also want something that can hold it together on groomers and the occasional off-piste excursion. The playful flex and true twin shape make it honest to ride switch, and the PARK V1 profile keeps it usable across a full day at the mountain rather than being a one-trick jib stick. That said, if you ride a lot of variable, soft, or tracked-out snow, or if you push hard speeds and need maximum edge grip, this board will frustrate you — the flat kick sections that make it so easy to butter also let it get bouncy and imprecise in chop. It is not a powder board, and experienced freeriders who only occasionally visit the park should look at the Capita Outerspace Living instead, a directional twin with a setback stance and a freeride-tuned camber profile that floats better and stays more settled when you're exploring the whole mountain.
