About the Product
The Paradise is Capita's women's all-mountain resort board, built around their Resort V3 hybrid camber profile — camber through the binding inserts for responsive edge hold on groomers and firmer snow, with rocker at the tip and tail that softens the entry into powder and keeps the nose from catching on variable terrain. The shape is a directional twin with a 0.5-inch stance setback, meaning it rides centered enough to play in either direction but has a slight lean toward riding pointed downhill. The core is a dual-species blend of poplar and beech, tapered between the insert packs so the flex softens away from your feet rather than abruptly, with a pair of carbon boosters adding a little energy and pop through the turn. At a medium 5 out of 10 flex, it has enough stiffness to hold an edge through a real carved turn at speed and enough give to butter out on flat sections or snap a playful turn on a short pitch. The Superdrive ADV base is a sintruded construction — a middle ground between sintered durability and extruded ease of maintenance — and the Special Blend fiberglass lay-up uses Magic Bean resin for what Capita describes as an eco-friendlier wet lay-up process. On snow, this translates to a board that initiates turns willingly, holds its line through variable conditions without chattering, and doesn't punish you for getting into slightly unpredictable situations.
The Paradise is built for intermediate to advancing intermediate women who want one board that handles groomed runs, occasional powder days, and light park laps without demanding specialization in any of those areas. If you are progressing through your second or third season and want a board that grows with you across terrain rather than boxing you into one style, this is a sound choice. Who should look elsewhere: if you are already riding at an advanced level and chasing deep-powder and off-piste days, the Paradise's modest nose rocker will feel limited — look at Capita's The Navigator instead, a directional women's board with a tapered parabolic sidecut and a lighter, surfier feel that floats and arcs better when the snow gets deep. And if you are primarily a park rider who wants a symmetrical true-twin for switch riding and pop off lips, the Paradise's directional-leaning geometry isn't built for that — Capita's Birds of a Feather (the women's take on the D.O.A.) is the truer twin and the better park-and-all-mountain pick. The Paradise earns its place as a capable everyday resort board for riders who want versatility without overpaying for features they will not use.
