Jones Men's Flagship Snowboard 2026/2027

The Men's Flagship is Jones's mid-stiff directional freeride snowboard: tapered, rocker-nosed, and built for deep snow and steep lines. Jones's own bars put it at Powder 10/10, All-Mountain 7/10 and Freestyle 3/10 — powder first, not a park board.

The profile is rocker, camber, rocker. Up front, the lifted nose and the High 3D Contour Base (Jones rounds the base up at the tips, so they drag less and the nose climbs sooner) get it planing early, while the cambered waist supplies the bite. High Traction Tech adds serrated grip zones along the running edge, for more bite on firm and icy snow. The build: a Control Core of paulownia and poplar, triaxial glass, an ash wood veneer, and a Bcomp Carbon/Flax stringer that Jones names and never explains. Springy carbon, damping flax: ordinary material behavior, and our read, not a Jones claim. Base is a Sintered 8000: fast, and hungry for wax.

It fits a directional rider, intermediate through expert, who points the board down the fall line and wants float and edge hold out of one deck. It is the wrong board for switch and park riders, which is what a true twin is for; for a first-season rider who wants something soft, because a 4/5 flex has to be driven rather than steered; and for the expert chasing maximum stiffness and damping, which is what the Flagship PRO is built for (Power Core, Koroyd, Basalt, Sintered 9900, 5/5). This one is the Control Core and Sintered 8000 build.

The board is sold on its own; bindings are extra. Jones pairs it with its own Mercury FASE and lists the plain Mercury as the other match. We stocked six lengths: 151, 154, 158, 161, plus the 156W and 159W. Wides are there for boots that run about a US 11 or bigger, so heel and toe clear the snow when the board is over on edge.
