Jones Men's Mercury Snowboard Binding 2026/2027

The Jones Men's Mercury is a two-strap freeride binding that leaves the factory tuned to its firmest setting. Jones rates the flex 4 of 5 and calls it mid-stiff and lively. On the brand's own 0–10 scale the terrain numbers read 9 all-mountain, 10 freeride, 8 freestyle. It sells for $369.95, and a medium pair weighs 1.65 kg.

Getting in

Toe strap, ankle strap, two ratchets, nothing that moves on its own. ZyTech buckles: Zytel composite levers, stainless springs and axis, a triple-action ratchet Jones credits for quicker entry. Tool-less strap adjustment is on the feature list; Jones says no more. Jones's fast-entry system, FASE, lives on other bindings. Jones aims it at expert riders; beginners and early intermediates should look elsewhere.

In the box

Hard bushings, with the Flip-It ankle straps on side one, give Freeride mode, which Jones ties to lateral support and board response. Soft bushings and flipped straps give Surf mode: the heel stays supported, the ankle gets room to move. The included bushings here are the hard pair, so what you unbox is already in Freeride. Jones never says whether a soft pair also ships in the carton — ask us first.

Mounting

One disk, three hole patterns. The universal disk Jones packs with it fits 4x4 inserts, 2x4 inserts, and the EST Channel system, so a Burton Channel deck needs nothing bought separately.

Sizing and colors

Boot size decides this, not bodyweight. A small fits a US 5–7 boot (EU 36.5–39.5), a medium US 7.5–10 (EU 40–43), a large US 10.5 and up (EU 43.5+). Three colorways, all reading as new for 26/27 (none carries a carry-over badge): Eclipse Black, Cloud White, Storm Gray. We took Storm Gray in medium and large only, so a small means Eclipse Black or Cloud White.

Lifetime coverage extends to two parts only, the Hanger and the Post; straps, buckles, highback and bushings carry a year. Jones also prints names it never explains — Skate Tech, Flushcup, the Carbon injected Hanger 3.0, the Control Flex highback. We pass those along as spec lines and claim nothing for them.
