Jones Women's Aurora Snowboard Binding 2026/2027

The Jones Women's Aurora is a two-strap binding Jones scores 10/10 for freeride on a mid 3-of-5 flex that Jones labels a happy medium. The terrain scores Jones publishes for it: freeride 10, all-mountain 9, freestyle 9. Weight is 1.55 kg for a size-M pair.

You strap in, one buckle at a time. The toe strap goes on, the ankle strap goes over, and both run through ZyTech levers. Jones builds those from Zytel fiber composite, with stainless-steel springs and axis, and a triple-action ratchet. Jones's FASE models are the fast-entry route into a binding; the Aurora is not one of them.

Two settings live in one set of parts. The ankle straps are Flip-It, which Jones designs to be traded between the left and right binding, and the bushings change with them. Hard bushings, strap's wide half over the buckle: that is Freeride mode, the locked-in end of the range. Soft bushings, wide half under the buckle: Surf mode, where the heel stays held and the ankle gets room to work. Soft is the set Jones lists in the box, so the Aurora shows up in Surf mode. Whether a hard pair is included, Jones does not say.

Hanger 3.0, Flushcup, the Comfort Flex ankle straps, a Progressive Flex highback, Skate Tech: Jones prints those names and defines not one of them. They are on the binding. What they do, Jones leaves unstated.

Board fit is settled before you ask. The disk Jones packs with the Aurora bolts to 4x4 inserts, to 2x4, and to Burton's Channel (EST) — nothing extra to buy.

Sizing is decided by your boot, not by your weight. S runs US 5–8.5 (Mondo 22–25); M runs US 9–11.5 (Mondo 25.5–27.5). That is the whole chart — Jones does not build a women's L. Past a US 11.5, the Aurora cannot be sized to you, and the answer is a men's binding, which does carry an L. Two colors: Eclipse Black and Misty White. Warranty splits in two — the Post and the Hanger are covered for life, every other part for a year.
