About the Product
The Nitro Dinghy is a wide-body, tapered-directional board built around Nitro's Trüe Camber — full camber tip to tail, with just a slight spoon to the nose that you only notice when the snow gets deep. That camber gives you real edge hold on hardpack and legitimate pop off your back foot; it is not a mellow, forgiving ride. At a 7/10 flex with a Powercore II poplar-and-beech core and Bi-Lite laminates, the Dinghy is snappy and responsive — it springs off ollies and launches cleanly off natural terrain. The progressive sidecut (larger radius up front, tighter at the tail) drives you out of turns and keeps the nose catch-free in chop, while the 15mm setback and tapered shape give it a natural directional bias that rewards committed carving and floats the nose in powder without any rocker theatrics. On a solid groomed run, it hooks up hard and holds an edge. In powder, the taper does real work — you can ride it shorter than your usual length and still get float.
The Dinghy is for advanced to expert riders, and bigger feet are a real advantage here — it only comes in wide (150w/155w/160w are the only sizes), so if your boots are on the smaller side you'll struggle to load the edges efficiently, and the full camber is technical enough that beginners will fight it on every skidded turn. It is not a park or jib board; switch riding is functional at best. If what you want is a surfy, rockered powder quiver stick that planes up and slashes loose, this is not it — go look at a board with genuine nose rocker. But if you ski big mountain hard, want one deck that charges groomers on Tuesday and handles a powder day on Friday without asking you to compromise, and have the feet to fill out a wide, the Dinghy earns its place in the quiver.
