Ogasaka TC-S Skis 2027

The OGASAKA TC-S is a technical-competition ski drawn for short turns, 65 mm at the waist, and OGASAKA states the job in its own series header: this line was developed to win the All-Japan Ski Technique Championships. Length sets the arc — 11.1 m at 155 cm, 11.8 at 160, 12.6 at 165 and 13.5 m at 170 cm — and nothing in that range wants to run long.

The sidecut carries over; OGASAKA says it revised the build materials and the balance of flex and torsion behind it, and now prints 970 g/m, grams per meter of a single ski. The stack is a sandwich. An NF wood core carries special F.R.P, with a sheet of A7178, an aluminum alloy, in the laminate above the core. OGASAKA badges a separate technology called Power Platform Function, in which an alloy sheet raises rigidity in one area, and the TC-S does not wear that badge: its structure row shows Front Float System and Front Lead Function. No stiffened zone is claimed for this ski. The metal is what marks it apart from the TC-S.LIGHT and the TC-JS, both built without any. Past that, OGASAKA prints no camber or rocker profile and no flex index, and it names SLIT TECH at tip and tail without ever saying what a slit is.

It suits an advanced skier who can reach the nose at turn entry and stay there. It gives a back-seat skier nothing. It has no long turn in it — that is the TC-L, drawn at 23.8-25.5 m — and at 65 mm, with no float claim in any OGASAKA document, it has no business off the groomed run. Gates belong to the TRIUN SL. If the ski simply feels like too much, OGASAKA names its own answer in print: the TC-S.LIGHT.
