About the Product

The Look Pivot 15 GW in the Forza 3.0 colorway is the same binding that has defined high-performance alpine retention for decades — just with different graphics. Under the hood you get Look's PIVOT turntable heel, which rotates directly beneath the tibia and delivers 28mm of elastic travel before releasing. That is not a marketing number: it means the heel absorbs lateral shock and momentary loading — rocks, variable crud, hard landings — without triggering a premature release. The RACE aluminum toe adds another 45mm of elastic travel with 180° multi-directional release. Together they produce a system that holds harder than almost anything else at DIN 6–15, and releases cleanly when it matters. The B95 brake designation means it fits skis with a waist up to 95mm — not wider. Boot sole compatibility covers ISO 5355 A (standard alpine) and GripWalk ISO 23223 A; it does not accept touring-specific soles (Dynafit, GripWalk Tour, or MNC-only boots). Stack height is 19mm, weight is 1,245g per half pair, and the mounting zone is deliberately short to keep swing weight down. The Forza 3.0 label is a colorway — the mechanism is mechanically identical to the Pivot 15 GW Super Edition and Gold.

This binding is built for aggressive, heavier, or hard-charging advanced-to-expert skiers who push into the DIN 10–15 range and ski demanding terrain — big mountain, freeride, or competitive bump and park — where the consequences of an unwanted release are serious. If you are a lighter skier (below roughly 70kg) or a strong intermediate who has never needed a DIN above 8 or 9, this is not the right binding: the minimum DIN of 6 starts higher than what most recreational skiers need, and you will pay $430 for retention engineering that is working against you rather than for you. Consider the Pivot 12 GW instead, which covers DIN 4–12 and suits a broader range of body weights and skiing styles. Equally important: if your ski has a waist wider than 95mm, the B95 brake will not clear the ski and you need the B115 version of this same binding. Get the brake width wrong and the binding will drag, affecting release mechanics — it is not a cosmetic issue.
