The Look PIVOT 2.0 15 GW is the current generation of the binding that's been the go-to for serious freeride and big-mountain skiers for years — updated with a widened toe arm, improved heel bumpers for durability, and a shorter mounting zone for more direct energy transfer. Its defining tech is still the combination of a full-metal aluminum race toe piece with 45mm of lateral elastic travel and the classic turntable heel, which provides 28mm of vertical elastic travel and pivots directly under the tibia. That heel design is what sets the Pivot apart from a standard heel-and-toe setup: when you catch an edge or get bucked at speed, the binding absorbs and returns energy rather than dumping you or pre-releasing. The DIN range of 6–15 handles a wide band of aggressive skiers by weight and ability — roughly from a lighter expert skier up through a large, powerful, high-aggression expert or former racer. The B105 brake width is sized for skis with a waist between roughly 95mm and 115mm; you want the brake tips clearing the ski edge cleanly, so match it to your ski's waist width. Boot compatibility covers both traditional Alpine (ISO 5355) and GripWalk (ISO 23223 A) soles — but not MNC or touring soles, so tech/frame touring boots won't work here.

This binding is built for advanced to expert skiers who ski hard and want retention confidence at high speed, on variable snow, or in the backcountry-accessed freeride zone. The all-metal toe and the Pivot heel are heavier than many alternatives (around 1,245g per binding), and the DIN minimum of 6 means lighter, less-aggressive skiers or kids should not use this binding — it won't release safely at the low end for a lighter recreational skier. If you're an intermediate skier, or an expert skiing a narrower ski with a waist under 90mm, look at the PIVOT 2.0 13 (DIN 4.5–13, brakes in 75/95/105/115mm, lighter plastic Full-Action toe piece, roughly 1,050–1,120g) — it covers the same turntable heel feel with a lower DIN range and lighter weight better suited to moderate aggressors. Equally, if you're stepping into 130mm-plus powder skis, Look makes the B115 and B130 brake variants of this same binding — don't try to spread a 105mm brake to fit a 120mm waist ski.
