POC POCito Obex MIPS Ski Helmet

The POCito Obex MIPS is POC's entry-level kids' helmet, built for skiers from age 3 up. It runs light — 410g at the smallest size — because young kids notice helmet weight in a way adults don't, and a heavy lid turns into a reason to skip wearing one. The in-mold PC shell and EPS liner keep that weight down without cutting corners on impact protection, and MIPS Evolve adds rotational impact management on top of the standard liner. An integrated RECCO reflector means search-and-rescue teams with compatible detectors can locate your child on the mountain. Certifications are EN 1077B and ASTM F2040.

Fit comes from a 360° adjustment dial — quick to dial in over a beanie or base layer, easy enough for a kid to do themselves once they know the routine. Ventilation is fixed (no adjustable vents), with front-to-rear channels and goggle chimneys that help clear steam off the lens. Detachable ear pads and a fixed goggle clip round it out. Colors are fluorescent-only with reflective patches, so visibility on a crowded beginner slope is built in. This helmet is for kids; it does not come in adult or youth-large sizes, and there is no visor option. If your child is past the POCito size range or needs adjustable ventilation, look at the adult Obex or Fornix lines instead.
