Rome Slapstick 2026/2027

The Rome Slapstick is Rome's youth all-mountain true twin — a soft, forgiving snowboard for a kid who has outgrown their first deck and is learning the whole hill. Waists are youth-narrow, 225.1 mm at the 132 up to 242.0 mm at the 147, matched to a smaller boot, and the shape is symmetric end to end, so it turns and rides switch the same either way.

The forgiveness is built in. The profile is Contact Rocker: rocker in the nose and tail with a flat section underfoot. The rockered tips ride up out of the snow, so a light rider is far less likely to catch an edge, while the flat middle keeps a little pop and hold. Twin Diamond 3D bevels the tips to smooth turn initiation, and Bamboo HotRods — bamboo rods milled into the core, not carbon — add spring for ollies and side hits without stiffening the ride. The Impact Base is extruded: tough, easy to repair, and fine even when a wax gets skipped, trading outright speed for durability.

This is a grow-with-them progression board, not a specialist. Rome's terrain map leans all-mountain and powder over park — a do-everything deck for groomers, whole-mountain cruising and a first go at side hits, not a park-team stick or a powder float. A kid who already rides hard and fast, and wants a stiff, damp charger, will overpower this soft flex. And it is sized by rider weight: a child too heavy for the 147 — past its roughly 127 lb ceiling — has outgrown the youth range and wants a full-size adult board.
