About the Product

The Salomon S/PRO SUPRA DUAL BOA 120 is a men's all-mountain overlap boot built around a 100mm last — genuine mid-volume territory — with a 120-flex shell and Salomon's Dual BOA closure system replacing every buckle on the boot. One H+i1 dial wraps the lower shell; a second dials in the upper cuff independently. That separation matters: you can lock the forefoot tight for solid edge-to-edge response and back off the upper dial a touch to ease shin and cuff pressure on long days, then snug both back up when you want a firmer connection. Note what the dials do and don't do — they control how tightly the boot wraps your foot and leg, not the boot's forward-lean angle, which is set by the cuff geometry and the included spoiler. The PU shell and cuff are heat-moldable via Salomon's Custom Shell HD process — ten minutes in the oven creates a personalized shell shape rather than just a packed-out one — and the My Exowrap 4D Perf liner adds an elastic belt around the forefoot and latex-foam layering that wraps the foot rather than just padding around it. At flex 120 the power transfer is direct and the boot reads your inputs cleanly; there is not much give when you load it, but the stance sits relatively upright, so this is a boot that rewards smooth, all-day cruising more than gritted-teeth charging — dedicated hard-carvers often want a more forward, aggressive shell. GripWalk ISO 23223 soles are pre-mounted, so walking the flats or the boot room floor is noticeably more comfortable than a flat alpine sole. This is still a fixed-cuff alpine boot, not a touring boot — there is no walk or hike mode, just the rockered GripWalk soles.

This boot is aimed at advanced skiers — people who ski most of the mountain with intent, who can bend a 120-flex without fighting it, and who have a foot that is genuinely medium-width: not narrow (under 97mm), not wide (over 102mm). If you have a low-instep, narrow foot you will swim in the volume here; the S/Pro Alpha BOA in the same flex is a tighter, lower-volume fit worth comparing. If you have a true wide foot or a thick instep, the 100mm shell can heat-mold to accommodate some — we have seen it open up usefully toward the 105–106mm range — but there is a ceiling, and we have watched wide-foot skiers force this last and end up with pressure points at the sides of the forefoot that no liner adjustment fixes. Intermediate skiers on the softer side of the ability range should step down to the S/Pro Supra BOA 100 — same family, but a single lower BOA with two cuff buckles and a more forgiving 100 flex; 120 is a demanding number, and if your legs are not consistently driving the boot, the boot drives back and fatigues you faster. Come in and get properly measured — mondo size and foot width together — before committing to any 120-flex boot. The dual BOA system does make it faster to get in and out, but dialing in even tension from fully open to fully tightened takes a few tries to get right, and day-one fit usually needs a heat mold to reach its potential.
