Stockli Nela 93 Skis 2026/2027

The Stöckli Nela 93 is a women's freeride ski, 93 mm underfoot and built in Switzerland, new for 26/27 and the wider of the two women's Nela models Stöckli introduced this season. It replaces the Nela 96 outright — new article number, new 130-93-117 sidecut, new lengths, tighter radii — a new ski, not a carryover with fresh graphics.

The build is light and soft-flexing on purpose. A Freeride Core of poplar, beech and paulownia sits under a Titanal layup with Stöckli's Titec Pro surface, which prints the graphics directly on the metal instead of adding a cover sheet. Softflex construction uses thinner individual layers for a softer flex, a Thin Glass Laminate appears on the two new Nelas but not on the unisex Stormriders, and Polywall sidewalls give up a little hardness for damping and impact resistance. Up front, a Powder Rocker tip is there for lift in soft snow and an easier start to the turn, and the Freeride Tail runs lighter and softer to keep the ski maneuverable — Stöckli credits those two features for its lift and playful handling.

Stöckli aims the Nela 93 squarely at soft snow and terrain away from the groomers, and that is how to shop it: the powder-day Nela, for intermediate through advanced women who want a light, forgiving freeride ski. If most of your days are groomed, the narrower Nela 86 — the ski Stöckli credits with quick edge-to-edge precision — fits better. If you want maximum stiffness or a length beyond 170 cm, look at the unisex Stormrider 95 instead.

One caveat we will not bury: the Nela 93 is in its first year, and not a single independent on-snow review of it exists yet.
