Union Atlas Snowboard Bindings 26/27

The Union Atlas is a medium-stiff, all-mountain snowboard binding, and it is the most evenly balanced model in Union's line — the brand scores it an identical eight across all four of its own performance ratings. That even card is the whole idea: strong from groomers to powder to steeper, committed terrain, without leaning hard toward any single discipline.

The responsive character comes from the build. A carbon-infused Duraflex CB baseplate and highback make a direct, medium-stiff chassis, while the Camber Disk is cut to preserve the board's camber rather than press it flat, so pop and natural flex stay underfoot. A canted footbed and damp Vaporlite bushings quiet chatter and cut fatigue over a full day. This is a binding, not a safety device — nothing here is a release or a brake.

Reach for the Atlas if you want a single setup that handles the whole hill and you favor response over a soft, playful ride. If you have a clear specialty, look across Union's line instead: the Falcor for dedicated freeride, the Atlas Pro if you want a stiffer chassis, and the Force for a softer all-mountain ride. Two practical notes before ordering. On mounting, the Atlas takes boards drilled for 4x2, 4x4 or Burton Channel inserts; the one layout it will not accept is Burton's old 3D three-hole pattern, so confirm what your deck uses. On size, pick by boot rather than body weight — the Atlas is offered in S, M and L, and because Union does not list the boot range for each size in this year's book, a quick boot measurement settles it. A binding ships bare, so we will mount it to your deck and dial in your size and stance in the shop.
